Measuring-calculating devices (MCD) “Vulkan-2005M” and “Vulkan-2005M1” are developed for measuring steam and gas pressure in the given volume during determination of thermal stability of substances in isothermal mode, which is carried out by customer’s certified method, invented for each substance individually. MCD is certified by State Standard.
MCD operation is based on measuring gas pressure and decomposition vapor of substances in closed reaction chamber of the primary converter (in the vacuum chamber of the primary converter using Vulkan-2005M1 Vacuum Tester) in isothermal mode. The measurement results are recorded as graphical information (tables, graphs, etc.) on a PC. The MCD has an option to measure the pressure of various types of substances simultaneously by controlling the heating and measuring the pressure separately by each thermostat.
The pressure in the reaction chambers is measured by a direct method using semiconductor strain gauge differential pressure sensors. The set temperature is maintained programmatically using two heaters — internal and external. The temperature is measured using a platinum thermal resistance located in each thermostat heater. The device is equipped with a barometric pressure sensor for continuous measurement of ambient pressure.
Control modules that perform functions such as temperature control, pressure measurement, analog-to-digital conversion, are located on thermostats and working offline after the temperature has been set.
